We’re sharing an important update regarding WhatsApp Business API pricing, following Meta’s latest announcement on per-message pricing changes.
These revised pricing rules will come into effect from January 1, 2026, and the updated charges will be reflected across the Botbee platform starting the same date.
What Are WhatsApp Conversation Credits (WCC)?
WhatsApp Conversation Credits (WCC) are used whenever a business sends template messages—including Marketing, Utility, or Authentication messages—through the Botbee platform.
The number of credits deducted depends on:

The recipient’s country
All charges are applied strictly according to Meta’s official pricing rules.
WhatsApp Business API Pricing Changes
Meta has announced updated pricing for WhatsApp messages across different categories. These changes apply on a per-message delivered basis and impact:

Updated WhatsApp Pricing for India (Per Message Delivered)

Utility messages: ₹0.145

Service messages: Free (as per existing rules)
👉 Service messages will continue to remain free, provided they are sent within the active customer service window.
⚠️ Important: WhatsApp Conversation Credits are deducted only when a message is successfully delivered to the recipient.
Understanding the Customer Service Window
When a user sends a message to your business, a 24-hour customer service window is activated.
Each new message from the user resets this window.
During the active window:

Free-form messages can be sent at no cost

Service messages remain free
-
Utility messages sent within this window are not charged
⚠️ Utility messages sent outside the active service window will be charged according to the applicable utility message pricing for the recipient’s country.
